The two tied the knot in a dazzlingroyal weddingat the start of the summer in nuptials that doubled as aroyal reunion. Royals from around the worldtraveled to Ammanfor the epic celebration, includingPrince WilliamandKate Middleton. The wedding was held nearly a year after Crown Prince Hussein announced his engagement to Rajwa, who received aprincess titleon their wedding day.

Princess Rajwa, 29, has since embraced life in the royal fold andtraveled to the United Statesin July with her husband and in-laws for a trip to Sun Valley, Idaho. She also joined Hussein in Washington, D.C. last week to meet with members of Congress about the strategic relationship between Jordan and the U.S.

As Princess Rajwa steps further into the royal spotlight, Queen Rania revealed theadvice she gave Rajwabefore she and Hussein took their engagement public last summer. Queen Rania shared the tip while appearing on TODAY last Wednesday during her visit to New York City for the United Nations General Assembly.

“You know, you’re just going to have self-doubt, and there’s always going to be negativity — and it’s not about you, it’s from the person. They’re unhappy in their own lives. So don’t carry that unhappiness . . . it’ll shake your confidence,” she continued. “You just need to develop healthy habits around technology, and that’s what you try to teach your kids. Not to stay away necessarily from their phones, but to interact with them in a healthier way and to also establish that balance.”

While Princess Rajwa does not maintain a public presence on social media, her husband does. In addition to posting recaps from their recent trip to D.C., the heir to the throne also celebrated his wife with a heartfeltInstagrampost the day after they got married. Hussein, who serves as a captain in the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army, shared the message with a formal portrait where he stood beside his bride at Zahran Palace in their wedding finery.

“God has blessed me with Rajwa, the light of my life and my lifelong companion,” Hussein began the caption. “May our marriage bring us both peace and warmth. I pray that God continues to bless us. Once again, my deepest thanks to everyone who celebrated with us from our beloved Jordan, as well as our family and loved ones from around the world. I could not be more thankful to God for the countless blessings He has granted me today, and to Rajwa for everything she is to me.”
