Announced today , Harley Quinn and the Birds of Prey , from hubby and wife duo Amanda Conner and Jimmy Palmiotti , is slated to release next year under DC ’s Black Label — and io9 got a chance to speak with Conner about the labor . She calls the account a continuation of the pair ’s 2013 ravel with the character , and she ’s bring back Harley ’s older buddies from Brooklyn . Yes , that intend Poison Ivy .

The Joker ’s back too . That ’s what ’ll take Harley to connect forces with Black Canary , Huntress , and Batgirl to take down the master of ceremonies of new villain that are sure to come with the extortionate $ 10,000,000 bounty that Joker ’s put on her promontory .
Conner teases Harley will chafe Renee the most , but will be vexed by Cass the most . “ That ’s how I see it going , ” she said . “ It ’s a whole unexampled set of case for her to push back addict . ”
And perhaps one of those characters Harley will force back crackpot is Conner herself . “ I have her voice in my head and it ’s really dug in like a tick . I do n’t lie with if that makes me brainsick because I have her voice in my head so intelligibly . ”

A stack has changed since Conner and Palmiotti last had a good turn with the Clown Princess . Harley exit from a quality once delimit by wanting to be wanted by the Joker , to a character who ca n’t seem toget enough of herself .

Harley Quinn and the Birds of Prey is a 32 - page , four - event miniseries . Look out for it come February .
