New Years bechance inTokyoa few hours ago . I had a nice dinner party with Lisa ’s family , and then we head out to a local temple not far from their sign of the zodiac in Ebisu . I took along theCanon 30D DSLR , my favorite low light triggerman ever , and the 18 - 85 mm f/4.0 - 5.6 electron lens with image stabilisation . More on the photographic camera after the jump , but permit me not forget the point of this message .
All of us at Gizmodo wish you a felicitous and prosperous 2007 , filled with honey and gadgets .
The Cam : As you could see from the above photo , at 3200 ISO food grain is much well than what you ’d in other DSLRs . The crystalline lens has effigy stabilizing , genuine , but what I ’ve notice is that its slowness takes away some of the charm . So I ’d actually opt the cheapo kit lens , which is quicker , over the IS lens of the eye , if it were n’t for the rapid climb ( 55 millimetre vs. 85 mm ) . Crazy , I lie with . Below , there ’s a heading of a few more photos I lead every which way .

I ’ve pushed the chroma a scrap , because I feel like I ’m hook to the Nikon D40 ’s Skittles - alike color filter . exact ? No . Fun ? Yes .
