Andrew Castle ’s married woman wanted to get a divorce . He did n’t . So he decide to set up up a crude galvanic chair in his service department , and asked her to sit in it . Warning : everything you ’re about to read is terrible .
When Castle find out about his wife ’s intention to go away him , he ask round her for a “ chat ” in their garage . Which should have been a warning sign for any couple with a utterly good living room to chat in . Also a potential word of advice sign : the two lengths of electrical cable running from an outlet to a metal chairperson . When Castle flipped the switching , his married woman would be fulfil with a deadly 240 volts .
Except she did n’t sit down . Or rather , she did but suffer before Castle could leaf the switch . And what was to be a ugly DIY carrying out became your average street rough-and-tumble , from which both parties suffered minor injuries , and after which Castle tried to take his own life .

So , pretty terrible ! The good news is , everyone made it out in one ( fragile ) piece , and Andrew Castle ’s going to spend the next 10 years in jail . But remind me never to delve into the dark side of DIY ever again . [ Mirror , figure of speech credit : Shutterstock / Phase4Photography ]
