DARPA , the representation that help invent thing like email in theearly 1970sand the net itself in thelate sixties , just launched apodcast . Podcasts have been around since the 2000s , but well late than never , I guess .
DARPA , of course , is known as the “ mad scientific discipline ” wing of the US Department of Defense . They ’re the ace constantly working on more efficient style to kill masses on the field and save the lives of American soldiers , whether it’sthrough robotsor new medical technique . And sometimes those technologies are put to incredible use in the civilian sector . Again , just bet at the internet and electronic mail .
The podcast , called Voices From DARPA , is host by Ivan Amato and each episode have a program manager for DARPA on dissimilar scene of the agency ’s national security mission . The podcast does n’t have a set schedule , but the agency says people can anticipate a new episode every month or so .

DARPA ’s new podcast is no Serial ( just josh , I ’ve never listen to Serial and have no line comparing the two ) but it ’s in all likelihood require listening for anyone interested in skill , technology , and the US military .
you could listen to the DARPA podcast onYouTubeandSoundCloud . DARPA says it hopes to have the podcast up on iTunes by the second or third episode .

Correction : This Emily Post originally misstated that political program managers were “ under contract bridge ” for DARPA . As DARPA pointed out to me over email , platform managers are “ full - on federal employees . ”
