Although his ongoing digital serial lamentably came to a closelate last year , the wonderfully campy Batman ‘ 66 comedian set out a abbreviated revival this year with acrossoverwith the classic spy series The Man From UNCLE . Before it come to an end this week , we ’ve got a sneak peek at the final chapter .
write by Jeff Parker with art by David Hanh , this crossover has seen Batman team up with top surreptitious federal agent Napoleon Solo and Illya Kuryakin on a mission to take down a sinister group known as THRUSH ( because all good spy fib are about covert organizations with neat acronyms for names ) before they can take over the world .
“ I have to say , this was a tricky series , ” Parker admit . “ You ca n’t just throw two characters from different show or book together and have a shape crossover , it ’s got to be credible . The man of each of these classic shows has its own rules for what makes a story , and it ’s a bit of a tightrope take the air to discover a way for them to cross successfully . The tone has to be just right to accommodate both . ”

“ I ’m proud that we did it , and much of that is thanks to David Hahn , Karl Kesel and Roberto Flores , ” Parker continued . “ They rend off a globe with the convincing geography , armament and threats of U.N.C.L.E. and the big showy escape of Batman ‘ 66 . And made it all look lifelike ! I hope the Man From U.N.C.L.E. fans who have n’t seen their hero in news report in a while had a good time , it was a rewarding serial publication to make . ”
you could check out first few pages from the final chapter below .
The terminal chapter of Batman ‘ 66 Meets The Man From UNCLE will be available for download this Wednesday via the DC Comics App , DC ’s digital webstore , Comixology , and a form of other digital funny retail merchant .
