Amy RobachandT.J. Holmesare keeping themselves at the center of their podcast.

On the second episode of their podcast,Amy and T.J., the formerGMA3: What You Need to Knowhosts playfully discussed some “headlines” that circulated over the weekend about their rumored “dirty dancing”atTodayshow producer Jen Long’s wedding— which Robach, 50, shut down as she shared that Holmes, 46, didn’t even get on the dance floor on Saturday — but they also chose to stay mum about some other recent reports.

After dismissing the “dirty dancing” speculation, Holmes was explicit about his desire to avoid addressing “other headlines” that circulated in recent days, which he said had “agendas,” presumably in reference to the reports thathis ex-wife, Marilee Fiebig, and Robach’s ex-husband, Andrew Shue, are dating.

“We absolutely anticipated that that was going to happen. There’s nothing we can do about those,” Holmes said, before sharing what he and Robach’s vision is for their new podcast. “But this place, this podcast, this platform is not and will never be… We are committed to a place that this is not gonna be about gossip, this is not gonna be a place where we clap back at headlines.”

He continued, “We are not going to get into that back and forth game because gossip is toxic.”

Robach responded, “We certainly are.”

Holmes’ staunch position against addressing certain “headlines” comes after PEOPLE learned that he and Robach’s ex-spouses,FiebigandShue, sparked a romantic connection as they’ve bonded over their shared experience of splitting from their partners. News of the new romance came just hours after Holmes and Robach launched their podcast on Dec. 5.

They seemed to be in good spirits as they smiled and chatted while they seemingly packed the vehicle for a weekend getaway.

On Tuesday’s episode, the couple also opened up about theirred carpet debut, which came at iHeartRadio’s Jingle Ball in Los Angeles earlier this month.

Robach said it was “amazing” to walk off the plane “holding hands” and not “have to duck paparazzi” during their trip, while Holmes said, “We’re proud stepping off the plane.”

“It was no small thing for us,” he continued of the debut.

“It was the first time we ever stepped out officially as a couple in front of cameras that we actually knew were going to be there and didn’t mind and smile and we had fun,” Robach said.

“We were just being us,” she continued. “Apparently that means being handsy and a lot of PDA, but you know what? We’re in love. We’re happy. I don’t know how else to act.”

She added that it “felt good to be free of hiding and running and avoiding,” when it comes to their romance, alluding to the backlash the pair originally faced when photos surfaced of them cozying up together last November, prior to the news that either of them had separated from their spouses.
