Forget the U.S. and its convention . The Guardian is reportingthat , frustrated by the Federal Aviation Administration , Amazon has been test its delivery pilotless aircraft in a top - secret web site just 2,000 feet from the US mete .

The newspaper explainsthat it was invited by Amazon to see the deftness which is place just over the U.S. boundary line in British Columbia . function with “ full grace of the Canadian politics , ” Amazon is said to be “ conduct frequent experimental flights . ” The newspaperexplainsthat it witnessed tests of a type of hybrid drone “ that can take off and land vertically as well as fly horizontally . ”

Just last workweek , theFAA concede Amazon an experimental airworthiness certificate , which allow the company to test drones in the U.S.—though not mesh them commercially .
