I , for one , am sick of having to get up off my buttocks to get raw movies to watch . Sure , it ’s gotten well-to-do since the days that had me labor to the telecasting store to rent a movie ( recollect video memory board ? How quaint . ) , but it ’s not easy enough . I still need to get off movies back to Netflix and wait a few day for the next film on my list to go far . Bah !
And yes , there are download services uncommitted , but they all kind of suction for one reason or another . So what do I want ? I want Netflix to put out aset - top equivalentof the excellent serving they already provide . With these conditions :

•I want the entire Netflix catalog uncommitted for downloading direct to my TV .
•I require to have a queue of moving picture , and when I finish keep an eye on one I can edit it and embark on the download of the next on my list immediately .
•While that raw one is downloading I desire to be able to watch another movie stored on the box . No PS3 - esque funny business organisation , Netflix .
•I desire to give a flat , monthly rate for this service , not make up per download .
•I require dependable , quick servers that wo n’t depart me high and dry on motion picture night . I ’m not asking for HD movies to be downloaded in 15 minute , but I do n’t want to wake up in the morning to an erroneous belief content or 5 % of a file complete .
•If my queue happens to be empty , I want a recommended movie based on my viewing habit to automatically download . I want to be able to put a “ storm me ! ” item in my queue to have the same thing pass .
And do n’t try on to sell me on other download service like Vongo or even the iTunes Movie Store that just let me get movies of varying quality to my figurer . I do n’t require to follow movies on my data processor ; I want to keep an eye on them on my TV . There’sAkimboandMoviebeam , but they both just have too many limitations and dogfight involved to make them worthwhile .

And then there are the on - demand services from cable providers , with HBO , Showtime , et al . offer up their show and movie for instant viewing . This is great for their original programming , but their limited selection of shitty , full - screen moving-picture show leave quite a minute to be desired . No thanks .
